This passage makes me wonder, how on earth did Molly and Leopold end up married in the first place? Were they once in love and then it died with the death of their son? Was it a convenience marriage? Molly seems like the type of woman who would have been able to seduce just about any type of man, so why did she settle for Bloom? Was it arranged in a sense?
